“Nana's Shed” is about two little boys, Jacob and Max, who use their Kiwi ingenuity and imaginations to solve Nana’s problem. She wants a garden shed. It will appeal to Kiwi kids who enjoy building things, creativity, New Zealand plants and animals, or snuggling up and reading with parents or grandparents. It also incorporates activities, such as searching for hidden objects and counting in English and te reo Māori. Children who have just mastered reading will also enjoy the easy flow of its rhyming couplets and vivid, colourful illustrations.
About the author
Marie Munro is a former primary school teacher who has been writing professionally for 30 years - as a journalist, desktop publisher, editor of community newspapers and, more recently, as a learning designer for the construction industry. She is semi-retired and has decided to use her leisure time to turn the invisible “Magic Story Book” of her classroom years into visible storybooks for the enjoyment of children and the people who share books with them.
