Ian and Marie Munro are both retired educators with a love of writing.
Self-publishing the Nana’s Shed Books collection of bilingual picture books is their retirement hobby, which has provided the opportunity for Wellington-based artists to try their hand at illustrating for children.
Rachel Doragh, who was formerly a primary school librarian, in Tawa, illustrates Marie’s titles, and Rebecca Utting, who is a User Experience (UX) designer and digital illustrator, in Wellington, illustrates for Ian.
Piripi Walker (Ngāti Raukawa) from Upper Hutt, completes the team. He has a wealth of experience, translating for Māori and non-Māori health and education organisations, and has translated a range of books for children.
